Emma mattress shoppers say gives ‘best sleep ever’ 25% off

Emma Sleep, known for its mattress and bedding range, has kicked off its bank holiday sale, and one of the best savings is on the Emma Hybrid Airgrid mattress. It’s one of the most premium on offer from Emma, but right now you can get it for 25% less.

With a rating of 4.9 stars out of five from customers, the mattress usually has a hefty tag of up to £1,839 for the super king. It’s also available in single, double, and king sizes (RRP for £745, £1,099, and £1,499, respectively).

While the mattress is certainly an investment, a standard one should last you between seven and 10 years, and Emma’s mattresses come with a 10-year guarantee, so the discount is a good deal. For example, if you bought an Emma Hybrid Airgrid super king mattress now at its discounted rate of £1,379.25, spread over 10 years of sleep, it works out at less than 38p per night.

One customer who purchased the Hybrid Airgrid said it was the best mattress they’ve ever had. Another added: “Best sleep I’ve had in years, no more aches and pains.”

The brand describes the mattress as medium-soft firm. Its seven layers work together to help you sleep better and wake up feeling refreshed. It has a “hyper-elastic foam” layer, which basically means it is soft, bouncy, and super-stretchy. It’s made with a special grid design (like a waffle or honeycomb pattern) that lets air flow through and gently supports your body. It supports the shoulders, hips, and spine. In the reviews, several shoppers said their back pain has significantly improved after swapping their old mattress for the Hybrid Airgrid.

It also has a memory foam layer, which Emma claims instantly adapts to your body when moving around in the night. It’s also supposed to help absorb movement so partners can roll around without disturbing each other. There’s also a firmer foam layer for added support.

Emma also claims that the mattress can keep you cool at night thanks to its cover, which is designed to pull sweat away from your body to help keep you dry and comfortable while you sleep.

Despite mainly positive reviews from previous shoppers, one shopper pointed out that the mattress had an unusual smell due to its packaging. They said: “Once the odour after unpackaging had gone, we found the mattress quite firm, but it suits us.”

The smell you notice when you first unbox this type of rolled-up mattress is called off-gassing. It happens because of the release of chemicals from the foam, which are left over from the manufacturing process.

According to the Emma website, this is completely normal with foam mattresses and is not harmful. The brand says: “The smell typically dissipates within a few hours to a few days when the mattress is aired out in a well-ventilated room.”

Some people said the mattress felt too soft and wished it was firmer. While the Hybrid AirGrid has a medium-soft feel, Emma’s Hybrid Premium and Hybrid Original models are medium-firm, so they feel more supportive, but they don’t offer the same level of pressure relief as the AirGrid.

All Emma mattresses also come with a 200-night sleep trial, so if you change your mind, you can return it.

Of course, there are plenty of other mattress available from the brand and they’re all discounted, too. The Emma Hybrid Thermosync Mattress also has 25% off until September 1st and is specifically designed to help regulate a sleeper’s body temperature. It has a medium thickness and its foam is infused with graphite particles, which the brand says capture excess heat produced by your body and keep you cooler and sleep for longer. If you’re not in the market for a mattress, Emma has also reduced the price of all its products, including duvets, mattress protectors and pillows in the Bank Holiday summer sale.
