Claudia Winkleman fans ‘love’ her ‘flattering’ M&S trousers

Claudia Winkelman is a fashion inspiration for many, showcasing a variety of looks when she presents Strictly Come Dancing and The Traitors. Last year, she also became an ambassador for Marks and Spencer, modelling clothes from the high street brand’s collections.

Fans went wild for one of her signature monochrome looks which Marks and Spencer shared on their Instagram page, styling a pair of chic tailored Jaeger trousers, one of the brand’s concessions.

Commenting on an Instagram post shared by both Claudia and Marks and Spencer, one fan said: “She looks stunning. this collaboration is something to get excited over.” 

The Pure Wool Tailored Ankle Grazer Trousers are not the cheapest, retailing for £99, but they are made from 100% wool and customers have praised the quality. One shopper said: “Very good quality Jaeger trousers. [I’ve] bought them over the years… worth paying for.”

Another M&S customer added: ”Well tailored black trousers. Lovely wool crepe fabric. Having the zip on the side is very flattering as it makes one’s stomach look flatter – more tailored trousers like these would be appreciated. I bought the petite version but they are almost full length on me (5’2”) which I prefer.”

They are a versatile wardrobe addition, which can be used for many different occasions. Plus, with the winter in full swing, the high wool content should keep you warm when battling the damp and chilly weather.  The mid-rise waistline fastens with a neat side zip, while the lining is said to offer a smooth feel.

Jaeger also offers a matching single-breasted blazer, available from M&S for £150, if you want to complete the look. 

For a similar style, mid-range brand Hobbs has discounted the Tessington Trousers, which have a wide-leg fit, and pressed front crease. They are slightly cheaper than the Jaeger trousers thanks to Hobbs’ current sale, which has discounted the trousers to £69 from  £119.

While the clothing range at Hobbs is often priced at over £100, their clearance offers give the chance to invest in high-quality pieces at a cut of the price.

Alternatively, if you are after a pair of wool trousers but at a slightly cheaper price point, Next has the Black Premium Wool Rich Tapered Trousers. The trousers retail for £72 and although the wool content isn’t quite as high as the Jaeger trousers, the 50% blend will still offer some warmth.

The barrel-leg shape is also very on-trend right now, while the slightly cropped ankle length offers a similar look to the Jaeger version.
