Next’s summer beauty box has ‘£115-worth’ of products for just £22

Next is welcoming summer with its latest beauty box, perfect for sun-soaked days. Next’s Glow-Up Beauty Box contains seven summer-focused items, some of which are infused with SPF protection. Next says the box would be worth £115 if each of the products were bought individually, but it is available for just £22 (though this does not include any sample-size products included in the box). 

Next describes its “carefully selected” collection as “ideal” for those jetting off this summer, reports Wales Online. It’s also great for beauty enthusiasts who want to add a summer glow to their usual makeup routine. 

Inside, you’ll find a mix of makeup and skincare, some of which are travel-sized, ideal for popping into your hand luggage or suitcase in the coming weeks. 

Full-sized products include the 100ml Australian Gold SPF with Instant Bronzer. The spray offers sun protection and promises a golden glow. The Bare by Vogue skin illuminator is another full-size product, a moisturiser that adds a shimmer and sun-kissed glow to skin. 

The ICONIC London, Lit and Luminous Baked Highlighter Powder, which is £25 at full price (so worth more than the entire Next beauty box), adds a shimmer to your make-up look, though it claims not to contain any noticeable chunks of glitter or powder particles. The product has a 4.80-star rating on the ICONIC London website, with customers describing it as “such a good highlighter”.

The Dr.PAWPAW x Teenage Cancer Trust Multipurpose Shimmer Lip Balm is first and foremost a lip balm, but it can also be used on your cheekbones or décolletage. Though it’s 10ml, this is a full-sized product that can also be popped into your handbag or cosmetic pouch.

The final full-sized item in the box is the Manucurist Active Glow Blueberry Nail Polish, a hybrid between a nail varnish and a nail care product that claims to offer a tinted colour and a shine. 

Two smaller travel-sized products, the Rituals Karma Mini shimmer Oil and the Emma Hardie Plump and Glow Hydrating Facial Mist, are also included.

As the Glow-Up Beauty Box is a new addition to the Next website, it hasn’t received many reviews. However, Next, as a retailer, has received a 4.2 Trustpilot rating. 

One review said: “I absolutely love Next products. I’m never disappointed, but if I do ever need to return anything, they make it so easy. Delivery is always fast. They sell most things I could need, and my home is filled with gorgeous colours and textures and beautiful things. I get complimented a lot.”

The beauty box has received a negative review based on delivery. A shopper wrote: “It leaked everywhere, unusable.”
