Boots summer sale bargains with up to 50% off

The Boots summer sale has returned for another year, with up to 50% off everything from makeup and skincare to big-ticket items such as Dyson hair straighteners and Oral-B electric toothbrushes. In addition to everyday essentials, there are also plenty of holiday must-haves.

Of course, with literally hundreds of items on offer, it can feel like a task to trawl through everything available online, so we’ve done some digging to round up a few of our favourite items on sale right now.  The sale runs for the rest of the summer, right up until September 9, so there is plenty of time to shop for bargains. 

Boots isn’t the only beauty and wellness retailer embracing summer with some heavy discounts. Superdrug currently has a sale on perfumes and makeup with up to 30% off select fragrances and products. LookFantastic also has 20% off select items online when you use the code FLASH.

Lancôme La vie est belle perfume is currently half price, down from £100 to £50. Previous shoppers have described the fragrance as “sexy, sweet and so delicately feminine”. Boots says it has a floral scent, and this limited edition bottle is wrapped with a sparkling bow. 

As it is 50ml, one shopper said it would make “the perfect gift for a traveller”. Another shopper added: “I have been using La vie est belle perfume for more than five years, and I can’t go without it. I’m literally addicted to it. People ask me what I’m wearing all the time, so I recommend it to them.” 

The Boots No7 Summer Beauty Vault gives shoppers five full-size skincare and makeup favourites from the collection, plus three deluxe minis (the ideal size for popping into your hand luggage). The products are designed to take your beauty regimen from morning to night. The beauty box is worth £104, but as part of the summer sale, it is discounted to £31.50, which is a saving of more than £70. 

Full-size products include the No7 Radiance+ Exfoliating Cleanser, which claims to even skin texture and minimise the look of imperfections. The brand recommends using this as the first step in your morning skincare routine. 

There’s also the Protect & Perfect Intense facial sun cream with SPF50. Makeup items include the Velvet Cloud Cream to Powder Blush in the summer-worthy shade Coral Kiss and nail varnish in the colour Orange Spice. The box also includes the No7 Age Defying Lipstick in a rose pink shade.

Mini products include the No7 Restore and Renew face and neck serum, the No7 Firming Booster Serum, and the No7 Future Renew Damage Reversal night cream, which is recommended as the final step in your routine before bed.

Usually retailing for £260, as part of the summer sale, Boots has slashed this set of two Oral-B iO3 Electric Toothbrushes to £120 – a saving of £140.  The toothbrush isn’t the most high-tech in the Oral-B range, but it has three brushing modes for daily cleaning, whitening, and gentle care. It also has a pressure sensor and a brushing timer. 

The set of two is a good value option for couples, with a blue and a black toothbrush, so you can easily tell them apart. Both burhses also come with a travel box and a charger. The toothbrush set also has a 4.2-star rating out of a possible five based on previous customer reviews. 

La Roche-Posay’s Anthelios Invisible Fluid is a go-to in my skincare routine, not just in the summer or while on holiday but every day of the year. It’s lightweight and easy to wear without leaving a greasy sheen. Admittedly, it’s not the cheapest, but it does a good job. I was particularly excited to spot it in the Boots summer sale, down to £16 (from £20). 

The cream offers SPF50+ protection, and shopper reviews say that it doesn’t leave any white residue on the skin. However, one thing to note is that it can stain white clothes if you aren’t careful when applying it. 

The Boots skincare beauty bag includes an edit of nine big-name brands and viral favourites, currently discounted to £23.99. There are six full-size products, including Korean skincare brand Beauty of Joseon’s Matte Sun Stick, a sunscreen product designed for the face. The bag also includes Lumene Nordic C Glow Boost Essence, which claims to hydrate skin and enhance natural glow, and an Oat Cleansing Balm from The Inkey List. 

The bag includes two Cetaphil products: a cleanser and a moisturising lotion, an ELF Holy Hydration Cleansing Balm, and a BYOMA brightening serum. Finally, the beauty bag includes Boots’ own-brand blemish patches. Shoppers have rated the beauty bag almost five stars, with one person saying: “I was very impressed with this edit. The bag was huge and contained full sizes of a majority of products, plus some miniatures of others – perfect for travel.”

The sale also includes plenty of products under £10, including toothpaste. It might seem boring, but it’s an essential, and as someone who struggles with sensitive teeth, Sensodyne is a go-to brand for me. Usually retailing for £5, the Pronamel Daily Protection is one of my favourites from the Sensodyne range, and right now, it’s half price at £2.50. 

The toothpaste has a gentle minty taste that isn’t overwhelming, and according to Sensodyne, dentists recommend it. A Boots shopper added: “Really impressed, worth every penny as it’s more expensive than my usual brand, I’d say you get what you pay for on this occasion.”

Dyson’s hair products have achieved cult status over the last few years, but they do come with a hefty price tag. However, if you have been after a new straightener, the Dyson Corrale Straightener is currently discounted by £100. The cordless hair tool comes in copper and bright nickel. The brand claims the straightener lasts for up to 30 minutes before needing to recharged. It also has three heat settings (165C, 185C and 210C) to suit a variety of hair types and styling needs. 

Usually retailing for £399.99, it’s now £299.99 in the Boots sale. One shopper said: “A stylish, practical hair straightening device and delivers the best results bar none, and these last without damaging the hair or drying out.”

Garnier’s Vitamin C Daily UV Fluid is usually £12.99 but in the summer sale it has been reduced to under £10. The lightly tinted skincare product is designed to be used as part of your everyday routine, with SPF50+ to protect you from the sun’s harmful rays. Garnier also says this vitamin C-infused product is designed to boost skin brightness. 

Based on customer reviews, it currently has a rating of 4.3 stars. One shopper said: “I’m a pale gal, and the tint is sheer enough to give me a little glow bronze without looking orange and patchy like some similar products have done in the past.”

However, a reviewer with sensitive skin added that they had a slight reaction to it; therefore, it may be best to patch test before using. 

Aftershave is also included in the up to 50% off sale, and Ralph Lauren’s Polo Blue Eau de Parfum is one of the fragrances halved in price. Retailing for £75 at full price, as part of the summer sale, the 75ml scent is down to £37.50. Ralph Lauren describes the scent as sophisticated and woody. 

One shopper said it has a “fresh vibrant smell” and a second described it as “long-lasting”.
