Music star Felipe Silva, who was half of the up-and-coming-coming country music duo Felipe & Raphael, died on Monday June 14 at the age 24. He fell off a pick-up truck and suffered a head injury that killed him two days later. He was rushed to hospital on Saturday following the accident in Araguaína, a city in the Brazilian state of Tocantins, according to his manager. The singer was sitting in a parked truck when someone suddenly started the engine and the jolt caused him to lose his balance and fall, hitting his head on the ground. His manager said he was treated for brain swelling at a local hospital but didn’t survive according to local outlet Metropoles.

Devastated fans rushed to pay tribute to the star flooding the comments with their condolences.

Thanks for all our moments, thanks for all the advice, thanks for all your help in difficult situations, thanks for the friendship, for the laughs, thanks FOR EVERYTHING. A third chimed in: “I can’t believe it. You were a light on this earth my friend! Those who know you know that you were a human being that everyone liked to be close to. May the Father of heaven receive you with open arms prince!”
Meanwhile a fourth penned: “May you look over all of us from heaven…you always with that contagious laugh…today I am not mourning just for a friend, but for a brother…you taught me the meaning of true friendship.

I know that from up there you are enchanting everyone with your joy, your jokes, and your incredible voice my dear.
