Superman star says James Bond classic is ‘one of the best movies of all time’ | Films | Entertainment

Henry Cavill’s successor, David Corenswet, has been doing the media rounds as he promotes his debut Superman movie.

During one recent interview with YouTuber Royal Court, the 32-year-old confessed he’s a huge James Bond fan.

His favourite movie in the spy franchise is Daniel Craig’s original outing, Casino Royale, which hit cinemas 19 years ago.

Corenswet enthusiastically recounted the film’s opening black and white sequence, where Bond earns his Licence to Kill and Double-O status after making two kills.

The Superman star claimed: “It’s a great film, it’s the greatest Bond film ever made, it’s one of the best movies of all time I think.” It’s hardly surprising given Casino Royale often comes right near the top of greatest 007 movie polls. Interestingly, his Man of Steel predecessor Cavill almost bagged the role instead of Craig when just 21.
