Next James Bond charges forward with latest on ‘fresh, exhilarating new chapter’ | Films | Entertainment

Having purchased creative control of the James Bond film franchise in a near-$1 billion deal from EON Productions, Amazon MGM Studios is not hanging around.

The streaming giant has appointed David Heyman (Harry Potter, Paddington and Amy Pascal (Spider-Man, Casino Royale, Skyfall) to produce the new 007 reboot.

And during Amazon MGM’s slot at CinemaCon in last night, their Head of Film, Streaming and Theatrical teased the latest news.

Courtney Valenti said: “We are committed to honouring the legacy of this iconic character while bringing a fresh, exhilarating new chapter to audiences around the world alongside Amy and David.

“They are both in London getting started and couldn’t be here tonight, but we wanted to thank them for what we know will be an incredible partnership. Thank you, Amy and David!”
