‘Masterful’ thriller dubbed ‘the UK Pulp Fiction’ now on Amazon Prime | Films | Entertainment

Prime Video is currently streaming a cult classic thriller hailed as the ‘UK Pulp Fiction.’

First launched in 2000, Guy Ritchie’s Snatch delivers just as much excitement as the Quentin Tarantino masterpiece.

Good news for Prime Video subscribers, it’s now available to stream at no extra cost.

For those who overlooked the film during its peak popularity, Snatch features Hollywood heavyweights Brad Pitt, Jason Statham, Alan Ford and Stephen Graham.

Set in London’s gritty underbelly, it follows a band of criminals attempting to track down a stolen diamond, reports the Mirror.

A synopsis reveals: “Illegal boxing promoter Turkish convinces gangster Brick Top to offer bets on bare-knuckle boxer Mickey at his bookie business. When Mickey does not throw his first fight as agreed, an infuriated Brick Top demands another match.”

The synopsis continues: “Meanwhile, gangster Frankie Four Fingers comes to place a bet for a friend with Brick Top’s bookies, as multiple criminals converge on a stolen diamond that Frankie has come to London to sell.”

Academy Award-winner Pitt plays fighter Mickey, whilst Statham stars as dodgy boxing promoter Turkish. Acclaimed actor Benicio del Toro also features as gangster Frankie Four Fingers. Meanwhile, Ford steps into the role of Brick Top.

The action-packed flick secured an impressive 74% Rotten Tomatoes rating, with viewers awarding it an extraordinary 93%.

One fan praised the thriller, writing: “All Time Classic. Pulp Fiction in the UK focused on the fallout of a rigged fighting match gone wrong. Masterfully done all around and Guy Ritchie’s finest hour. Same could be said for Jason Statham.”

Another chimed in: “One of the greatest British films made. Actors, script, direction .. everything is SPOT ON. It’s worth watching more than once, which I very, VERY rarely say. Well done, Guy Ritchie!”

A third shared: “This will always be one of the classics. Worth watching no matter your age. I last watched it with my grandparents and my parents. So an age range of 24-80. And we all loved it.”

A fourth declared: “Everything we have come to love from Guy Ritchie can be found in this film.” Meanwhile, others have labelled the thriller as a “must watch.”
