It’s been 14 years since the eighth and final Harry Potter film hit cinemas.
This summer, the TV series remake is gearing up to start shooting, with Harry, Ron, Hermione, and several teachers already cast.
But did you know an original star from the films is reprising his exact role?
Tom Felton, who starred as Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies, is returning to his role for the official stage play.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is set 19 years after the events of Deathly Hallows, with Harry, Ron, Hermione and Draco all aged around 40.
In the final scene of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, he was digitally aged for the sequence, which now starts the theatrical production’s storyline. The 37-year-old Felton is now old enough to play Draco that age without makeup and has been cast in his original role for the Broadway production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
The star begins his performances on November 11 for a limited run of 19 weeks that concludes on March 22, 2026. Fans can sign up for first access to tickets here.
