Movie site IMDb has revealed the worst movies of the 21st Century so far, and one with a terrible Rotten Tomatoes score of 11% sits at the top spot. The list was compiled by identifying the movies with the lowest Filaffinity score, with each having to receive at least 95 reviews. It’s always the case that some movies are better than others, and the enjoyability of a film often depends on personal taste.
But sometimes, there are movies that most people can agree are simply not good. While scores are not always reflective of how much you might enjoy watching a movie, when they are extremely low, it’s more likely than not that you are going to walk away from the film feeling like you have just wasted at least 90 minutes of your life. If you have been tempted to watch any of the movies below, you might want to think again. Here are the 11 worst movies of the 21st Century so far.
10. Titanic II (2010)
Are we surprised that an attempt at a Titanic sequel did so poorly? The film is free to stream on Tubi for those willing to sit through it, and follows the crew of a boat called Titanic 2, which sets sail on the 100th anniversary of the original ship’s sinking. Surprise: a looming iceberg threatens the lives of everyone on board, which sounds awfully familiar.
Reviewers were brutal about this one, with some calling it “one of the worst movies ever made”. Its 15 per cent Rotten Tomatoes score might actually seem generous.

9. Moby Dick (2010)
This one is a particular insult to fans of classic literature. Review site The Airship went as far as to call it the “worst adaptation of all time”. The film follows a captain who hunts down the massive whale that ruined him years ago. It has a low Rotten Tomatoes score of 11%, with reviews calling it “absolutely lame” and “unnecessary”.
If you do fancy enduring it, it’s free to stream on Tubi. Be warned, viewers have called the special effects “terrible”.

8. Dragonball: Evolution (2009)
Loosely based on the Japanese Shōnen Jump manga series Dragon Ball, this superhero film was slated by critics and viewers. It follows a young hero who must race against time to collect a set of seven magical orbs and fulfil his dying grandfather’s wish before a villain gets to them.
It is available to watch on Disney but doesn’t come recommended by many viewers, with a Rotten Tomatoes score of just 14 per cent. Viewers have described it as “laughably horrid”, “absolutely horrible” and “the worst”.
