There are many household staples you’ll no doubt already have in your cleaning cupboard. From white vinegar, which can be used for a number of things including cleaning the inside of your washing machine, to the Pink Stuff, which for example can be used to get rid of dirt and rust from your sink.
But now cleaning fans have discovered another product which might deserve a position at the front of your cleaning cupboard, and it can be purchased from Marks and Spencer. Taking to the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook group, where fans of cleaning sensation Sophie Hinchliffe, also known as Mrs Hinch, share their advice, one woman said: “These!!!! Currently £1.25 a pack in M&S. They are a life saver!… I’ve used on several tops which have had the dreaded spaghetti bolognase sauce on. Highly recommend!”
Alongside the message she shared a picture of the product, which is M&S’ own Stain Removing Wipes.
On the description page on M&S’ website, it reads: “Our effective Stain Removing Wipes tackle tough spots and spills effortlessly. Specially formulated with plant-based and biodegradable ingredients to work on a variety of surfaces, they lift marks without damage, leaving your home spotlessly clean. These sustainable wipes are made in the UK with a bespoke fragrance featuring almond and sweet orange essential oils.”
And the Facebook user wasn’t the only one who is a big fan of the wipes, which retail at £1.25 per pack. “These wipes are a life changer for holidays used them for a couple of years best stain wipes ever!” said one person. Another commented: “I wouldn’t be without these, they are amazing!”
A third wrote: “I use these on my new sofa, marks instantly removed.” And someone else commented: “They are very good… I use them on my fabric sofas.. The corners that get scuff marks, smell beautiful too.” “Totally agree, we’ve been using for a while, they do a great job on stains,” added another.
A woman on TikTok recently decided to share her experience using the wipes on what looked like a ketchup stain on her cream-coloured fabric chair. Posting a picture of the spill, she shared: “So this happened yesterday. I literally just wanted to cry. I used a particular stain remover and that didn’t help. I [had] seen good reviews on the M&S stain remover wipes so I decided to run out, get some and give them a try.
“Oh my God, where have they been all my life? I decided to try it on my wall as well.” Showing the chair after using the wipes, she continued: “This is the next day and not a stain in sight.”
The TikTok clip also shows Aisha’s unsuccessful attempt at getting the stain out using a bunch of tissues. There are 30 wipes in a pack of the M&S stain removing product.
