Jo Malone’s new perfume kit includes three scents for £45

Jo Malone fragrances are a more luxury purchase, with full-size 100ml bottles of its most classic scents starting from £118. But if you want to test some of the brand’s most popular fragrances, plus make your own perfume combinations (perfect for creating your signature scent), then a Scent Layering Kit is a great option. New online at LookFantastic, Jo Malone’s latest Scent Discovery Set offers a bargain way to try three of the British brand’s best-sellers for less than £50.

The deal is £45 for the three scents from LookFantastic, which works out at just £15 per fragrance. This includes three 9ml bottles tailor-made for individual use or blended to curate a bespoke scent.

The kit includes the Grapefruit scent, which the brand says is meant to summon the vibe of a sun-kissed Spanish shoreline by infusing citrus tones with nuances of rosemary and moss. The scent has similar notes Pomelo by Jo Loves (£82), as reported by the Manchester Evening News.

The Peony and Blush Suede fragrance encapsulates the quintessence of spring; it unfurls from fresh red apple into florid gusts of peony, rose, jasmine, and carnation. Crafted by luminous perfumer Christine Nagel—now the illustrious nose behind enumerable Hermès creations—the fragrance adds another feather to her cap.

Completing the trio is English Oak and Hazelnut Cologne, a concoction where spice intertwines with timber, courtesy of Yann Vasnier, a fragrance virtuoso renowned for opulent aromas like Tom Ford’s Vanille Fatale, which costs £290, Santal Blush, which costs £220, and Velvet Orchid, which costs £108.

Among these fragrant marvels, Peony and Blush Suede Cologne secures its place as the crown jewel in the Jo Malone London collection, acclaimed with a high-flying 4.6-star rating from an impressive 247 reviews on their website. A shopper shared their fondness for the scent, saying: “I like to use this scent for special occasions. I’ve been in love with it for years! Many compliments also. It lasts on me.”

One satisfied customer exclaimed: “A lot of perfumes give me a headache or make me sneeze but Peony and Blush Suede is perfect. It suits my skin, it’s warm, floral and sensual – I sniff my arm when I’m wearing it as it’s so lovely. I find that it lasts well, as I also use the body wash and body lotion. I need to get the candle as well, so my home can smell of it. I really feel that I’ve found my forever cologne.”

Another penned their thoughts, saying: “Perfume smelled really nice, although the scent didn’t seem to last, had to keep reapplying.”

Experts note that the longevity of perfume on your skin can be greatly affected by how you apply it. The best method is to spray it onto clean and moisturised skin.

Another enthusiast shared: “So evoking. I have been on a hunt. I feel like I’ve smelled it all some days, so bored of everything. And here comes the bride moment happens at the first spritz of Peony and Blush Suede. What can I say, it’s a romantic getaway I’ve awaited. The journey has been poetic. I spray it on my wrists so I can go back and relive the first moment. This is the signature perfume I’ve longed for. Thank you, Jo Malone.”
