Ingredients Joe Wicks adds to fried eggs to make them ‘tastiest ever’

Most Britons relish a good egg dish for breakfast from time to time. Yet, having your eggs prepared the same way – be it scrambled, poached, or fried – can become monotonous.

To inject some creativity into your egg dishes, fitness coach and cookbook author Joe Wicks has divulged his recipe for what he claims are the ‘tastiest fried eggs’ he’s ever concocted.

Joe, who is also known as The Body Coach, took to Instagram to share his recipe, which quickly became a hit, amassing 5,000 likes. The video clip kicked off with Joe adding a dollop of butter to a pan, followed by chopped garlic, fresh chilli, and smoked paprika.

He instructed his 4.8 million followers: “Fry that for a couple of minutes, crack in three eggs and grate over some lovely parmesan cheese.”

The 39-year-old then advised viewers to cover the pan with a lid and let it cook “for a couple more minutes”.

Subsequently, he toasted some sourdough bread and served it alongside the eggs.

He concluded the video by exclaiming: “See, that is how you fry an egg look… all those lovely flavours, crispy parmesan, garlic, chilli, paprika.

“If you’re bored of boiled eggs and fried eggs, give this one a go guys you’re going to love it with that sourdough. It’s a naughty breakfast.”

In the accompanying caption, he wrote: “These cheesy spicy chilli and paprika fried eggs tasted incredible.

“Without doubt the tastiest fried eggs l’ve ever made. Would you try these?”.

One person exclaimed: “Absolutely,” while another insisted they would “try it tomorrow”.

A third added: “These look great,” while someone else said they would ‘add some cheeky halloumi and avocado with it’ too.

If you’re not a fan of butter however, then one another cookbook author, Dan Clapson, recently revealed the alternative ingredient you can use to cook fried eggs – pickle juice.

It claimed the pickle juice gives fried eggs “a salty, briny finish that doesn’t overpower the subtle flavour and texture of the eggs”.
