A beauty egg is the perfect seasonal treat for the makeup and skincare lover in your life (Image: Rituals / Next / LookFantastic)
Chocolate Easter eggs may be the usual go-to for Easter gifting, but there’s a new egg emerging as the ultimate gift for beauty lovers. Beauty eggs are exactly what they say. Seasonal egg-shaped gift packages bursting with beauty products. The popularity of these eggs is growing, and this year, the likes of LookFantastic, Boots, and Next have all released their take on the seasonal beauty boxes, especially for those who love all things makeup, skincare and self-care.
But, with more and more options becoming available, each promising a unique range of products inside, it can be hard to decide which to buy. The good news is that most have a decent variety of products included, though some eggs are more tailored to skincare lovers. If you do have your eye on a beauty egg this year, it’s worth shopping now as there isn’t long before the big weekend rolls around (plus some eggs, such as the Boots beauty egg, have already sold out).
I’ve picked a few of my favourite beauty eggs to give you the lowdown on exactly what to expect and whether they really are all they are cracked up to be.

The Ritual of Mehr
- Foaming shower gel (200ml)
- Body cream (100ml)
- Car air freshener (two x 3g)
The Ritual of Sakura
- Foaming shower gel (200ml)
- Body cream (100ml)
- Travel eau de parfum (15ml)
Everyone deserves a little bit of me time, and what better way to relax this Easter than with a luxurious bath? Rituals is a high-end brand known for its body care essentials, ranging from shower gels and body creams to diffusers and perfumes. This year, they’ve released two seasonal eggs packed with beautifully scented products.
There are two colours to choose from. The daffodil yellow The Ritual of Mehr egg and the pastel pink The Ritual of Sakura are both presented in egg-shaped packages tied with a pretty bow. Both eggs contain a full-sized foaming bath gel and a full-sized body cream, though while The Ritual of Sakura set comes with an Eau de Parfum, interestingly, The Ritual of Mehr comes with a car air freshener to bring a little bit of opulence to your daily commute.
I got my hands on the Ritual of Mehr egg, and I love the simple yet pretty packaging (it’s also plastic-free, which is a real bonus). The products have a zesty, citrus scent reminiscent of summer, which makes sense given that the Rituals say they were inspired by the sun. Someone who prefers a more floral scent may prefer The Ritual of Sakura.
Both eggs retail for £37.50 and are available from Amazon, LookFantatsic and the Rituals website.

Hot on the heels of Next’s Mother’s Day Beauty Box is a springtime version, especially for Easter, and, you guessed it, it’s shaped like an egg. The pastel-hued Luxury Beauty Egg has been designed in partnership with Cath Kidston, featuring two playful bunnies, some chicks and, of course, lots of spring flowers. It’s a good choice for someone who likes everything cute and colourful.
Given the egg’s name, it’s no surprise it comes with a selection of luxury branded items—seven of which are full-sized. When I opened the box, I was happy to see a diverse range of products inside, from bathtime and skincare to perfume and nail varnish. The highest-value products in the box include the Aromatherapy Associates bath oil, worth £58, which is worth more than the box itself. Presented in a classy glass bottle, the rich, herbal scent can transform your bathtime into a spa experience.
The egg also includes a full-sized Bath and Bodyworks foam soap, scented like sweet Japanese Cherry Blossom (perfect for this time of the year). The soap alone is worth £12. Bath and Bodyworks is an American company, and its products are notably more expensive in the UK, so I think the inclusion of a full-size product offers good value.
Other stand-out items include the full-size OPI nail varnish, which is an iridescent white colour (a fairly universal shade that works well for the spring months), the full-size Laura Mercier Almond and Coconut souffle hand cream (I’m obsessed!) and the full-size mascara from British cosmetics brand Delilah.
The egg also includes a Ted Baker fragrance (though it’s more suited to those who prefer a sweet scent) and a lip-plumping gloss in a reasonably universal nude colour.
The Next Luxury Beauty Egg retails for £50 and is available from the Next website.
Lookfantasic Beauty Egg 2025
The LookFantastic egg is worth over £205, according to the brand (Image: LookFantastic)
What’s inside the Lookfantastic Beauty Egg?
- ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Night Cream (15ml) – Deluxe Size worth £43
- Medik8 Vitamin C-Tetra Serum (30ml) – Full Size worth £39
- Color Wow Money Mist (150ml) – Full Size worth over £29
- Rodial Original Lip Oil with Collagen (4ml) – Full Size worth £29
- ICONIC London Luscious Glow Baked Highlighter – Full Size worth £28
- Anastasia Beverley Hills Lash Sculpt Mascara – Full Size worth £27
- Sol de Janeiro Delicia Drench Body Butter (25ml) – Deluxe Size worth £10
Lookfantastic has an array of beauty boxes, but in time for Easter, they’ve released their Beauty Egg 2025. Last year, their 2024 Beauty Egg caused a stir online as they upped the value of its contents significantly. The good news is, it’s the same case this year. The egg retails for £60, yet LookFantastic says it’s worth over £205. Given that the egg contains seven products, that works out to roughly £8.50 per product.
Five of the seven products are full-sized, while two are “deluxe size,” which is more like a travel-sized product.
The egg showcases some premium brands you can buy online at Lookfantastic, including Elemis, Medik8, and Anastasia Beverly Hills. Some products retail for a fraction of the cost of the entire egg when purchased alone. Based on the big names included in the beauty egg, the LookFantastic option certainly seems to offer the best value for money (though, out of the three, it’s the only one I haven’t personally opened). I can vouch for some of the brands in the egg, however.
The highest-value item in the egg is the travel size of the ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Night Cream, which is worth £43 when bought individually. There’s also a full-size Medik8 Vitamin C-Tetra Serum, worth £39.
Another stand-out item is the Sol de Janeiro Delicia Drench, a body butter that has been viral on social media for the last year (and it’s one of my favourite body creams).
The Easter-themed beauty egg is available for £60 from Lookfantastic.
