Amazon £18 deodorant Nadine Baggott ‘swears by’ for heatwaves

Beauty presenter Nadine Baggott has shared some of her most-used bodycare buys in time for the heatwave – and one of the products she mentioned was an antiperspirant from Amazon.

It’s the Secret Clinical Strength Deodorant and Antiperspirant for Women, which has been made an Amazon’s Choice item with over 13,000 reviews and a 4.4 out of five star-rating. Nadine mentioned the product on Instagram and described it as “mind-blowingly brilliant”.

Avaialble on Amazon for £18.29, the Secret Clinical Strength Deodorant promises up to 72 hours of sweat and odour protection, with a formula containing pH-balancing minerals. This deodorant is designed to be gentle on the skin while delivering advanced protection against odour-causing bacteria.

Nadine shared in an Instagram video: “A lot of us might not be comfortable to show our skin off but we are in the midst of a heatwave so here are my absolute mind-blowingly brilliant products that just perform.

“It’s clinically proven antiperspirant from P&G, and this is Secret Clinical that I used to get it in the States, however you can now get it on Amazon and I swear by it. This is the Completely Clean – that’s the fragrance, not the non-toxic claim. So good, so good.”

As she applied the deodorant stick to her armpits, she explained how it performed: “I met the formulating chemist at the American Academy of Dermatology and I gave a big sweat-free hug, I love that product, 100%. I first discovered the product when I was in America and doing a lot of reformer pilates and I usually come back from the pilates class and sit by my desk without having shower, because I then have a shower at night before I go to bed, so a bit of the deodorant… zero sweat, body odour marks, it’s so good.”

Some shoppers recommend the Driclor Antiperspirant Roll On Applicator, £8 from Boots, as an alternative. It is formulated and designed to treat excessive perspiration. It works by forming a gel matrix in the effected sweat glands, which reduces and eventually stops the flow of sweat.

Gem’s skin-loving antiperspirant has gone viral on social media and is suitable for those who prefer to use aerosol deodorants. Boots has reduced the product to £2.67, down from £4.

Amazon shoppers who have tried Nadine’s recommendation love the product as one shared: “I’ve struggled with perspiration when wearing dove, Nivea, even Mitchum after a while – I tried this at my last resort and it is incredible. The price seems high but a bottle lasts me at least 6 months, so you’re talking about a few pounds a month which is pretty standard. It rolls on dry – no waving your arms in the air these days and it works so well, even on holiday and really hot weather. I need it forever and ever.”

A second customer said she didn’t need to reapply, sharing: “I won’t be going back to sprays againc, so fresh, the secret deodorant and keeps dry for 72 hours. I work in a hospital so I would be so busy this the one to use.”

But one left a three-star review and explained: “The product itself is great, does a very good job at keeping you smelling fresh with no signs of stopping. The problem however is that the container stopped working properly about half way through, so had to be broken open to get at what was left.”

Another mentioned that they have developed a rash in both armpits and had to stop using it, adding: “It is very perfumed though and smelt like an air freshener.”

Those who are keen to try the Secret Clinical Strength Deodorant and Antiperspirant can purchase it on Amazon.
