Money expert Martin Lewis has shared a method to double your Tesco Clubcard vouchers via his Money Saving Expert website. The money guru said his ‘no brainer’ tip will turn £5 of vouchers for the supermarket into 1,000 points, worth £10, and you can also get £10 of rewards on top too. The Tesco Clubcard trick works for anyone who has 500 points or more and is valid until July 29.

Until that date, Tesco is giving 1,000 bonus Clubcard points for anyone who converts them into a range of Days Out Reward Partner Code redemptions. The £5 worth of points can get you £10 worth of rewards for popular attractions including Blackpool Pleasure Beach, The London Eye, Chessington World of Adventures and others like Cadbury World and Thorpe Park.

But even if you don’t want a reward, you can double up your Tesco Clubcard vouchers from £5 to £10.

If you then convert those vouchers into rewards later, you can make them £20 off rewards.

Martin tweeted: “Top Tesco Trick… How to turn £5 in vouchers into 1,000 points (£10) and get £10 of rewards too!”

Writing via MSE, he added: “For anyone with 500+ Tesco Clubcard points (which you can convert into £5 in Clubcard vouchers if you haven’t already), this trick is a no-brainer.

“The basis for this is that until Tuesday 29 July, Tesco is offering 1,000 bonus Clubcard points for anyone converting Clubcard vouchers into a range of Days Out Reward Partner code* redemptions

“Even if you don’t want a day out, just do it with the minimum £5 voucher as you get back 1,000 bonus points – double what you started with, as that can then be converted into a £10 voucher.

“Tesco confirmed to us you don’t need to actually book or attend anything. Just exchanging the voucher is enough to trigger the 1,000 bonus points. Reward Partner codes are usually valid for six months (check your chosen Reward Partner), so you could use it later in the year. The only thing we found that a £5 voucher would cover in its entirety are Treasure Trails* (self-guided walks) at £9.99, but just go for whatever you’re most likely to use.

3. Tesco will add the 1,000 bonus points to your Clubcard account by Sunday 19 October. After your 1,000 points are converted to vouchers, you can use them on anything – £10 of food shopping or £20 off any Tesco Reward Partner (not just days out.”
