Iceland Foods has launched a new scheme offering all students a 10% discount in stores on certain days throughout May. The deal forms part of the frozen food giant’s “mission to do the right thing” for its customers and help hard-up students ahead of exam season.
Students can claim a 10% discount on their shopping every Wednesday throughout the month, as part of a limited-time discount. The discount is also available in-store at The Food Warehouse. Richard Walker, executive chairman at Iceland Foods, said: “At Iceland and The Food Warehouse, we’re on a mission to do the right thing by our customers. This month, we know that cash-strapped students will be studying and completing their exams, so the last thing they need to be worrying about is food prices. That’s why we’re giving them 10% off in stores, every single Wednesday throughout May.”
To get the deal, students need only head to Iceland or The Food Warehouse stores at any time on Wednesday, May 7, May 14, May 21, or May 28, and show their valid student ID to receive 10% off all items. This can be either a dated University or College ID card or a dated UNiDAYS or Student Beans ID.
In addition to the deal, Iceland’s store located in The Leeds Merrion Shopping Centre, Leeds, LS2 8NG will also have a dedicated student aisle installed featuring popular student products, from Iceland’s £1 value range to popular ready meals.
Students are encouraged to head down from May 7, as the first 10 students through the tills will have the chance to win a Ninja CRISPI 4-in-1 portable glass air fryer.
Iceland shoppers aged 60 and over can also benefit from weekly savings with their own discount deal.
The frozen food supermarket giant offers these customers a 10% discount on their shop (with no minimum spend) every Tuesday.
Over 60s can benefit from this deal all year round – the deal is not just limited to May. Simply bring in a valid form of ID, such as a senior bus pass, driver’s licence, a senior railcard, or a Freedom Pass, to redeem the discount.
