Britons ‘urged’ to seek help as ‘thousands’ of homes qualify for Winter Support Fund | Personal Finance | Finance

Britons struggling with their bills are being urged to seek help from a charity support fund.

The Cadent Foundation’s £2million Winter Support Fund is helping people affected by fuel poverty by providing emergency support, including food and energy vouchers as well as cooking and heating appliances.

These vouchers and appliances are distributed through the foundation’s charitable partners and are available to eligible individuals until March. Each household can receive up to two vouchers.

Julia Dwyer, director at the Cadent Foundation, said: “With the cold snap set to continue over the next few days, it is vital that we support our most vulnerable residents to keep warm this winter.

“The Cadent Foundation’s Winter Support Fund is available to support thousands of homes across the country in areas of high deprivation.

“Each eligible household can receive up to two vouchers, with the option of also having access to essential heating and cooking appliances.”

Ms Dwyer added: “As freezing temperatures persist, we would urge those who are struggling the most to seek support through initiatives like our Winter Support Fund, to identify and access the assistance that would be best suited to them.”
