Cleaner shares easy ways to clean your home without hurting your back

Cleaning our homes can be quite the upkeep and time consuming in between our busy lives of work, education, socialising, family, and more. But quick, easy methods can help keep your home clean and tidy.

In recent years, people have taken to social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, to share their top tips and hacks on how to making cleaning chores easier and quicker, whether it’s by using different products or finding new ways of cleaning items.

However, sometimes, even the simplest of hacks that make your back hurt. To help, one professional cleaner from The Clean Group has shared her top tips on how to get your house sparking without having to bend down and scrub your home, which can help soothe your back pain.

“Pro cleaner tricks you’ll wish you knew sooner,” they wrote at the start of the TikTok video.

They then went on to share their two top tips on how to clean your home.

For their first tip, they explained: “Toilet roll tube gets into spots your hoover attachment won’t fit, perfect for bifold doors tracks.”

In the video, they showed how an empty toilet roll was secured onto a hoover with a rubber band, before it was then folded it slightly to make it thinner, which made for the perfect size to fit into the bifold door tracks.

For her next tip, she removed the toilet roll from the hoover and instead went on to add a microfibre cloth, which she also secured with a rubber band before spraying the end with an all-purpose cleaner.

She explained: “A microfibre cloth on the end of your hoover attachment means you can dust and wipe the skirting without bending down, scratching the wood, or throwing dust around the room.”

The cleaning expert then went on to show how this worked great for wiping the stairs as well as other nooks and crannies around her home without having to bend down to reach them.

People quickly flocked to the comment section of the video to praise the woman for her clever cleaning hacks.

“Doing God’s work,” one person wrote, while a second person exclaimed: “Love this!”

However, not everyone understood the importance of the hack, as another one suggested: “My tip is, employ a cleaner.”

To this, the woman replied: “And thank the lord for people agreeing with you… otherwise my rent doesn’t get paid.”
