The £1 household item that can remove toilet stains

The spring cleaning season has arrived, meaning many people are planning to get their home sparkling ahead of the summer. It also means that those same people will be on the hunt for the best cleaning supply. Most people will agree that the tidying process can be a bit costly if you’re wanting to do it properly.

However, there are many hacks that will cut your cost down dramatically whilst still leaving your home spotless. There’s one product that will be in a vast amount of homes across the nation that might just be the most versatile cleaning product you’ll ever come across. Not only does it work for smudges and smears across the home but it’s a perfect product to hit those tough spots like annoying toilet stains.

The product is simply foaming shaving cream, which you can grab for as cheap as £1 in Boots.

Coloured rings or stains around toliet bowls can be an absolute pain and extremely difficult get rid of. This is because the rings are caused by a build up of minerals in the water, especially households with hard water.

So even if you clean your toilet bowl often, the stubborn stains can easily make your bathroom look unclean. Instead of using a loaf of bleach to try and erase the marks, try this much easier way to eliminate them.

All it takes is simply putting some shaving cream around your toilet bowl brush and start scrubbing the water line. Not only will it get rid of the stains, but it can also help to get rid of any bad odours.

The reason why shaving cream acts as a good cleaning product is because it shares some of the same active ingredients as bar or liquid soap, including surfactants, emulsifiers, and cleaning agents.

This means as well as your toilet bowls, it can be used for many other places in the house to keep them cleaning and smelling fresh, and best of all, the product doesn’t cost a lot. So, if you’ve ran out of any for the time being it’s best to get stocked up and make sure you have some stocked up ahead of your big spring clean.
