‘Warm but not bulky’ fleece lined jacket reduced to half price

Cotton Traders have launched a clearance sale that sees shoppers rushing to snap up a half-price unisex winter jacket “perfect for winter walks”.

The Fleece Lined Coat, reduced from £70 to £35, is designed to lock in warmth when the temperature drops. It comes in three unisex-friendly colours – light spruce, cherry and velvet blue – the detachable hood allows you to adjust your look along with the unpredicatable British weather.

Shoppers can keep their belongings and essentials safe in two roomy inner security pockets while the outer patch pockets can keep your hands warm. Zip it up and draw the dyed-to-match drawcord at the waist for a flattering, personalised fit. As it’s a unisex style, sizes are available from Small to 4XL and it’s recommended to go up a size if you want to wear thick jumpers underneath.

The coat has scored a high 4.5-star rating among 330 shoppers and many praised that it “kept them warm without adding bulk” to their outfit. 

One shared: “This coat has proven to be perfect for our winter walks. It’s a good length (down to my knees) but as the zip does not go to the bottom of the coat, my stride is not impeded. Has kept me warm over the recent cold days.”

Another commented on the affordable price, detailing: “With the recent cold weather I was looking for a slightly longer heavier coat. After looking online I came across this one and was surprised at the price. I went ahead and ordered it but wasn’t sure what to expect. Couldn’t believe the quality when it arrived. Warm, comfortable and not too bulky. Perfect. I would recommend it to anyone.”

A customer bought it for her husband and she said: “My husband is very pleased with this coat. It is a good warm coat and is also waterproof, it has inner and outer pockets to secure your personal items.”

While some said the coat is not 100% waterproof, adding it “works for light showers”. A shopper found the sizing difficult to fit for curvy women, explaining: “I appreciate that this is a unisex coat, but the size L is stated as being correct for women’s size 18-20. Top half yes, bottom half no. If it had a two-way zip I would have kept it, but without that it was just too tight on the hips. Sizing up would have been too big on top.”

But one happy customer overcame the negatives and were happy to snap up the coat in the clearance. “So pleased I bought this coat not only did it come just in time for the cold weather but it is so well insulated and such a good fit,” she added. “Even the hood is so well designed which other makes do not even bother about. Nice deep outer pockets for all my bits and pieces while out walking the dog. Then to top it all I brought it in the sale for half price so it was a fantastic bargain.”

Uniqlo’s Recycled Down Jacket is another popular style suitable for both men and women and it’s reduced from £79.90 to £39.90; the quilted outer finish is made with water-repellent fabric but it doesn’t come with a hood.
