New Netflix film ‘everyone is talking about’ will leave you in tears | Films | Entertainment

Netflix is known for its huge collection of films and TV series of various genres.

There’s everything from comedies to dramas to westerns and documentaries, as well as more niche categories, like foreign films and music. Fans of the major streaming platform often get excited by new releases, giving them something to watch that they might not have seen before.

Netflix has a host of original shows and movies for viewers to get stuck into and classic blockbusters. Luke Eccleston has built a strong reputation for his honest TV and film reviews, mainly focusing on Netflix.

In his latest TikTok video he recommends a very emotional movie that has recently been added to the streaming giant’s library. Eccleston passionately said: “Forget about everything else on Netflix because this is the next film you need to watch.

“It’s a film everyone’s gonna be talking about. It’s a film that you definitely need to see as it is one of the most heartwrenching, gut punching, incredible stories you will ever see because it’s actually true.”

The TV buff then revealed that the name of the movie is The Iron Claw. It was released in the UK in February last year and tells the story of the Von Erich brothers as they make history in the highly competitive world of professional wrestling in the early 1980s.

Eccleston shared that when he watched The Iron Claw at the cinema he found it “genuinely unbelievable.” Giving more details about the movie, which has an 89% score on Rotten Tomatoes, he added: “It shows the competitiveness of wrestling and that whole entire world and how much it means to this family.

“Now, even if you’re not a fan of wrestling or sports at all, like me, this is a story everyone should hear.” The TV and film reviewer declared it to be “one of the best” true stories he has ever watched.

Eccleston continued: “So make sure you get this film on your watch list. I actually beg you to check this one out.”

His TikTok video has garnered 266,600 views, 3,000 likes and more than 100 comments, so far. One user, who has watched The Iron Claw, said: “That film is insane. I cannot believe it’s true, it’s amazing.”

Another added: “Watched it on prime cried my eyes out.” A third chimed in: “Nope not going through that again, it made me sob!!!”

Someone else who has seen the movie was deeply moved by it. They commented: “It’s been on HBO part of their A24 collection btw! For anyone who has HBO. This movie broke me down and had me tearing on a plane. That ending.”

The Iron Claw was directed by the Canadian-American film director and screenwriter Sean Durkin. It stars Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White, Harris Dickinson, Lily James, Maura Tierney, Stanley Simons and Holt McCallany.
