Inside Harrison Ford’s life from fainting cleaner to 22-year age gap marriage | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Hollywood star Harrison Ford will forever be known for his iconic role as Han Solo in the sci-fi film franchise, Star Wars. A true global icon, he also captivated film lovers with his performance in the legendary Indiana Jones movies, and notably Blade Runner.

The 83-year-old has starred in at least 74 films and has been nominated once for an Academy Award in 1985 for his role in “Witness”. It’s safe to say Harrison has enjoyed a long and successful career, but away from the spotlight, he is a very private individual. Ford has been married three times and has five children: Benjamin, Willard, Malcolm, Georgia, and Liam. He’s been married to Calista Flockhart since 2010, and the couple celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary last month.

The pair share a 22-year age gap, with Calista being 60. They first met in 2002 at the Golden Globes and then got married in June 2010, a year after the actor proposed to her.

It’s hard to believe that the first Star Wars film was released 47 years ago, and during that time, Harrison Ford lived in a trendy Notting Hill flat in London.

As many loyal fans already know, the first Star Wars film was filmed at the famous Elstree Studios in Hertfordshire. All of the huge movie stars, including Harrison, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill, stayed in accommodations near the filming site.

Harrison ended up choosing a flat in London’s prestigious Notting Hill. According to the family who rented it to Harrison, their grandmother advertised the flat in The Sunday Times’ ‘To Let’ section, for a lodger to live in the top floors of their home.

Bizarrely, the family was oblivious to Harrison’s Hollywood status and simply referred to him as ‘The Lodger’. This later meant quite a shock for their cleaner, who actually fainted upon meeting Harrison when she realised who he was.

Both Carrie, who played Princess Leia, and Mark, who played Luke Skywalker, apparently visited the Notting Hill flat frequently. Harrison was labelled as an “excellent tenant, very tidy” by the family, and when he wanted to relax after a day of filming, the family would often have drinks in their garden with him.

The flat owner remembered: “Summer 1976 was a great time. He was an ideal tenant!”
