Boots shoppers are in for a treat today as the high-street retailer has launched one of the biggest £10 Tuesday sales to celebrate five years of its weekly promotion. With more than 230 items included, it’s an opportunity to snap up on skincare essentials, gift sets and makeup at up to 70% off.
One of the deals that has attracted more than 100 customers is the No7 Men Protect and Perfect Intense Advance Collection, a four-piece collection that takes each product down to £2.50. Anti-ageing skincare fans can also find serums and creams from L’Oreal, Prai, and No7. There’s also a list of trending skincare buys from Curel and more.
The L’Oreal Paris Age Perfect Cell Renew Midnight Serum, loved by Hollywood icon Jane Fonda, is included in this week’s Boots deals. Formulated to “target the deepest wrinkles”, the overnight serum supports skin cell renewal that is effective on all skin tones and types. Jane said in an interview with Grazia: “At night, after I’ve removed my make-up, I use L’Oréal Paris’ new [Age Perfect Cell Renewal] Midnight Serum. It has a lot of antioxidants and good things to hydrate the skin and comes in recyclable glass. They’re trying to use less plastic, be more sustainable and are recycling products, so I think that’s a good thing.”
One fan said it delivered the same effects as the expensive Estee Lauder midnight serum, sharing: “Working well for me using the Estee lauder which is three times the price since I switched haven’t notice any difference so as good as expensive brand.”
But others were not too happy about the performance as a shopper mentioned: “Although my skin felt moisturised to the touch, the feeling was one of tightness.”
The Prai Beauty Ageless Lip Line Filler, originally priced at £29.99, is now reduced to £10 and it claimed to deliver instant beauty filter-like effect by blurring and filling in fine lines and wrinkles, pores and small imperfections.
The pointed applicator tip delivers a targeted amount of smoothing creme to areas prone to creasing, including the vertical lines above the lip, nasolabial folds, and stubborn eleven lines on the forehead. RoC Derm Correxion Serum Fill + Treat, £26.66 on Amazon, provides a similar formula that’s already a hit with Amazon shoppers.
Gents aren’t overlooked either, with the No7 Men Protect and Perfect Intense Advance Collection, originally costing £35. Although Father’s Day has passed, this set would make an excellent birthday gift. It includes a day moisturiser with SPF15, a night cream, a serum and eye cream. But there are options at other high-street stores including the Bath & Body Works Mens Face Gift Set, £24, and grooming bundles from Bulldog Skincare.
Those with sensitive skin can take advantage of Curél’s Replenishing Night Cream, reduced from £25, while eye-care enthusiasts can nab the Olay Eyes Ultimate Eye Cream – formulated to combat dark circles and puffiness – for a fraction of its original £24.99 price tag.
The No7 Pure Retinol, Vitamin C & SPF 30 Day Cream Duo, dropped from £39.95 to £10, offers a complete day-to-night skincare routine. Pure retinol, which is a form of vitamin A that has been specially formulated to be gentle for all skin tones and accelerate surface skin cell turnover to reveal youthful-looking skin, is blended with vitamin C, a powerful antioxidants to brighten and leave skin glowing, with 96% of women agreeing that their skin looks dramatically more radiant.
A shopper said she saw noticeable difference to her forehead lines after a few weeks but some left lukewarm reviews online, with one saying: “No irritation but I don’t like the SPF it’s too thick and clogs my pores! Had high hopes as I absolutely love No7 products but this really doesn’t sit well under makeup.”
Shoppers might find better value waiting for a three-for-two offer or 20% off selected beauty to purchase this. Similarly, L’Oreal’s Infallible Faux Brow Tint Pen, previously £11.99, only offers a saving of £1.99 on the original price.
