Avengers Doomsday and Avengers Secret Wars new release dates announced | Films | Entertainment

The first of the next two back-to-back Avengers movies is currently well under way just outside London.

Helmed by Infinity War and Endgame directors, The Russo Brothers, Robert Downey Jr returns to the franchise as the villainous Doctor Doom.

First instalment Avengers Doomsday will pit the baddie against the likes of Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, the new Avengers (Thunderbolts), the Fantastic Four and the 2000s X-Men cast.

The upcoming Marvel blockbuster was set to release May 1, 2026, with follow-up Avengers Secret Wars to follow on May 7, 2027.

However, Disney has now announced that both films will be delayed to new release dates.
